As a Shift Lead you will be responsible for overseeing the manufacturing operations and ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the production process. You will supervise a team of workers and collaborate with other departments to meet production targets, maintain quality standards, and promote a safe working environment.
Coordinate and supervise all activities during the assigned shift to ensure production goals are met.
Monitor and adjust production processes to optimize output and minimize downtime.
Assign tasks and responsibilities to the shift team members and ensure they are performing their duties effectively.
Provide guidance and support to employees, addressing any issues or concerns that arise during the shift.
Enforce quality control measures to ensure that products meet the required specifications and industry standards.
Promote and enforce safety regulations, procedures, and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
Monitor production efficiency and identify opportunities for process optimization and waste reduction.
Maintain accurate production records, including shift reports, production logs, and inventory levels.
Train and mentor shift personnel, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Resolve conflicts or disciplinary issues that arise within the shift team, in coordination with the human resources department.
Communicate effectively with other supervisors, managers, and departments to ensure smooth operations and workflow.
Relay relevant information, such as production updates, issues, or equipment maintenance requirements, to the appropriate stakeholders.
Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to address equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or management education is a plus.
1-2 years of previous experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality control procedures.
Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in an industrial setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with employees at all levels.
Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
Organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in using computer systems and software relevant to production and reporting.
Forklift and material handling.
Vehicle/Drivers’ license required
Prior experience with hand tools and power tools
Knowledge of basic shop math and measuring equipment.
Basic Knowledge of 2D drawings a Plus
Full Time
Pay rate is $16++ per hour
