The employee must be trained and qualified in basic injection mold set up and shut down procedures to ensure timely and quality production in our plastics manufacturing and assembly environment in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include but are not limited to set up and or removal in the press of specified mold, plumbing of molds, part containment, making sure all auxiliary equipment needed for the job is at the press and functional, knowing where molds are stored and being able to document each step of set up or removal of mold based on work order instruction.
Follow Job Specific Instructions, plumbing diagrams and process sheets. . Complete and accurate set-up ex: no water leaks, plumbing errors
Complete and accurate documentation
Auxiliary equipment: proper cleaning and maintenance.
Part Containment: working with processors to keep production contained.
Operate overhead crane.
Knowledge of material needs
Set or remove molds in press
Part containment
Know basic processing skills
Knowledge of job specific items such as thermolators, grinders, shields, chutes, air blow items, controllers and vacuum units.
Knowledge of specific mold types such as mud units, multiple plate molds and hot runner molds.
Tear down, cleaning and storage of auxiliary equipment
Mold storage and transporting of molds
Documentation – knowing where and when to document all aspects of production from press to inventory to tool room.
Must have basic reading and math skills
Pay rate is $10-13 per hour
Full Time: 8 & 12 hour shifts available
1st, 2nd & 3rd Shift
