A Janitor, also known as a Custodian or Industrial Cleaner, is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and orderliness within a factory or manufacturing facility. They play a vital role in ensuring a safe and clean working environment for employees and supporting efficient operations. Factory Janitors perform a range of cleaning and maintenance tasks to keep the facility clean, organized, and free from safety hazards.
Perform routine cleaning tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
Clean and disinfect restrooms, break rooms, locker rooms, and other common areas.
Dust surfaces, including desks, shelves, equipment, and fixtures.
Empty and clean trash receptacles, and ensure proper disposal of waste.
Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of factory floors, including sweeping, mopping, or scrubbing as necessary.
Operate floor-cleaning equipment, such as buffers, scrubbers, or carpet cleaners, in accordance with safety guidelines and manufacturer instructions.
Remove spills, stains, or debris promptly to prevent accidents or damage.
Collect, sort, and dispose of waste materials, including recyclables and hazardous waste, in accordance with company policies and regulations.
Clean and sanitize work surfaces, equipment, tools, and machinery regularly to maintain hygiene standards.
Restock and maintain supplies of soap, hand sanitizers, paper towels, and other hygiene-related items.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and supplies.
Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations in a factory environment.
Ability to understand and follow instructions regarding the use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
Physical stamina and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving heavy objects.
Good time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
Flexibility to work different shifts or extended hours as needed.
Part Time
Pay rate is $15 per hour
